John Joseph McEllen, age 57, of Palos Park, IL, formerly of Elmhurst, IL, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 13, 2009 at home after a long battle with cancer.

Loving husband of Jackie McEllen, nee McKenzie; dear father of Casey McEllen; grandfather of Gillian; devoted son of Ruth E., nee Burns, and the late Arthur McEllen; brother of Ruth M. McEllen, Jane (Keith) Keller, Mary (Bob) Tyson, Mike (Laura) McEllen, Cathy (Rick) Krueger, Vivian (Steve) Howeler, Anne (Ralph) Rosillo and the late Jimmy McEllen; also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

At John’s request no services were held.
