Roseann Stolzman (aka Grandma RoRo, Auntie RoRo & Rosie), 62, of Streamwood, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 10th, 2014 after battling with breast cancer.

Born in Chicago, IL, daughter of Robert and Josephine (Coletti) Stolzman, she is preceded in death by brothers Theodore and Steven Stolzman.

She met and married Mark S. Abernethy in 1976 with whom she gave birth to six children, who were her greatest passions. After 14 years of marriage, Roseann was given the substantial responsibility of raising and supporting 6 children as a single mother. She worked multiple jobs including waitressing, cleaning homes & offices and office work to provide for her children.

Roseann succeeded greatly in that her children are well-educated, active in their churches, have served the country as US Marines, contribute as business people and are loving parents themselves. In 1994, she was elated to reconnect with the daughter that she had given up for adoption in 1973 with their relationship continuing through the remainder of her years.

Amongst her many other passions, she loved music, dancing, cooking and hosting events for family and friends.

Roseann is survived by her seven children: Michele, Eric (Aubree), Harmony (Josh), Luke, Seth (Laura), Adam; seven grandchildren: Caleb, Courtney, Christiane, Cara, Chastity, Faith; and seven siblings: Robert, Genevieve, Richard (Deborah), Beverly, Clara Lynn (Mark), Nicholas and Paul (Susan).

A celebration of Roseann's life will be held on Monday, December 22nd, 2014 at Vineyard Church of Elgin, 220 Division St, Elgin, IL 60120. Coffee and family visitation at 3 pm, service at 4 pm and a dinner reception to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alexian Brothers Foundation.
