Mike Wittman, 61, passed away at his home in Downers Grove on June 8, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born in Oak Park on September 13, 1952.
Mike enjoyed a long and successful career in the travel and entertainment industry, making lifelong friends with his peers and customers. Those who knew him remember his “larger than life” personality and his ability to leave a smile on everyone’s face.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Wittman; cherished father of Emily (Don) McKinnon, Michael and Hannah Wittman; cherished grandfather of Clark, ear son of Carol and the late Ed Wittman, fond brother of Sue (Kent) Sands; and many nieces and nephews.
Mike graduated from York High School in 1970 and is a graduate of the University of South Florida.
Memorial Visitation Wednesday 3 PM to 8 PM at Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St. (1 blk. S. of Ogden), Downers Grove. Family and Friends will meet Thursday at St. Joseph Church, 4801 Main St., Downers Grove for a Funeral Mass at 10 AM.
