Tim White

1952-04-13 2009-04-26
Timothy Alan White, aged 57, passed away peacefully in his home on April 26, 2009 from complications following a heart attack.

Born in Chicago on April 13, 1952 to Jack and Betty White, Tim grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois. He received his Bachelors & Masters degree from the University of Illinois Champaign and his PhD from North Carolina State University.

In 1991, Tim moved his family to beautiful Seattle to live his dream working as a Restoration Ecologist with CH2M Hill in Bellevue. He was an avid guitar player, dog lover, shell-fisherman and SCUBA diver. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; their three children: Emily, Alex, and Rebecca, all of Renton; his brother Jeff (Linda) White of Elgin, Illinois and his sister Jennifer (Joe) Pettinger of Schaumburg, Illinois; as well as numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and his devoted dogs. His parents and his brother Scott precede him in death.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Heart Association; The Nature Conservancy; Serve Our Dog Areas; or the Washington State Firefighters Association in his name.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
