Jeff Frantz
1952-10-16 2022-12-04
It is with great sadness that we inform you that Jeffrey Frantz, JAF, a long-time broker and trader in Soybean Oil, passed away this past week. If you knew Jeff, you knew a man of great kindness, good humor and occasionally strong market advice.
Jeff, a York graduate, had a long struggle with alcohol, finally coming to terms with it in May of 2018 when he moved into sober living. He enjoyed the company of his housemates and was genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of each one. Jeff suffered from several ailments which kept him from attending more meetings, however, he was always ready for the Club’s Sunday breakfast and monthly steak night.
Unfortunately, the ailments began to take their toll and subsequently it was too much for him, passing away Sunday.
So, as Jeff’s final life testimony is written, the last line will be one we all strive to accomplish. He died SOBER!
A small service will be held at the Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home in Elmhurst (on York Rd) this Saturday, December 10th, from 3-5. Remembrance at 3:30.
We welcome any who would like to join us in remembering Jeff, and thank you for your thoughts and prayers during this time.
Information provided by Jeff’s daughter, Sarah, and by Jeff’s good friend and fellow Y70 classmate, Jay Webb.
