Bev Scott
1952-04-11 2022-12-11
Aledo, Texas - Beverley Ruth Scott, left this earth to meet her Creator and Savior on December 11, 2022 at the age of 70 in the presence of all of her immediate family. Beverley rejoined her loving parents, Sievert and Leona Bus and her granddaughter Bailey Zander in their heavenly home.
Beverley Ruth Scott was born April 11th, 1952 in Elmhurst, Illinois as the fifth of seven children born to Sievert and Leona Bus. Beverley graduated York Community High School in 1970. Soon after, she met an unsuspecting Texan in Colorado and they later married in 1974. Beverley and Terry started their first career in farming in Poolville, TX where their oldest son Toben was born. In 1978, they purchased a larger farming operation in Comanche, TX where the two younger daughters, Tera and Amy were born and where all three kids were raised.
On the family farm, Beverley was a gifted gardener, homemaker, volunteer, farm equipment operator, horse show mom and craft artisan, all while making certain her children grew up in a loving Christian home and made good grades. The experiences and life lessons learned there on the family farm were invaluable to the whole family.
Terry's and Beverley's entrepreneurial and fearless spirit subsequently helped them to found and grow a milk hauling business, horse trailer retail business, and an oilfield service company before their eventual retirement in 2010.
Since retirement, Terry and Beverley discovered their second love in life in the Caribbean Ocean. They boated, sailed, fished, snorkeled and dived in most every corner of the Caribbean and had their children, family and friends share their passion with them at different points along the way. Terry & Beverley most recently finished building a retirement home in Placencia Caye, Belize and were able to enjoy it for a short time before Beverley's passing.
Beverley is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Terry Scott (Placencia Caye, Belize); children Toben Scott, daughter-in-law Misty and their children Khloe, Khelan and Kensey (Midland, TX); Tera Zander, son-in-law, Brandon and their children Evan, Jessica, Maegan and Macie, (Burleson, TX), Amy Tongate, son-in law Daniel and their daughter Avi (Poteet, TX); and sisters and brothers Jacqueline Maslowe (Johnstown, CO), Randy Bus and sister-in-law Jerilyn (Wheaton, IL), Phillip Bus and sister-in-law Helen (Batavia, IL), Kenneth Bus and sister-in-law Mary Jane (Peoria, AZ), David Bus and sister-in-law Sharon (Batavia, IL), and Lorraine Wyman and brother-in-law Tim (Fitchburg, WI).
A memorial service is being held at St. Matthew's Lutheran at 5709 Wedgewood Dr., Ft. Worth, TX 76133 on Saturday, December 17th at 4:00 pm. Afterward, a Celebration of Life is being hosted by the Scott Family at the Omni Hotel at 1300 Houston St., Ft. Worth, TX. from 5:30-11:00 pm.
