Robert J Sandner of St. Charles, beloved husband of Mary Sandner, adoring father of Nina Sandner, loving great uncle of Gina Genge. Dear brother of Edward (Shelley) Sandner, Jr. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Dorothy Sandner, his sister Patricia (Gil) Lange, and his sister Nancy Luehring. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Vineyard Church of Elgin, 220 Division Street, Elgin, IL, Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10AM. Service begins at 11AM with luncheon immediately following. Please wear casual attire to honor Bob.
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of our colleague, Assistant State’s Attorney Bob Sandner, who unexpectedly passed away last week. Bob had recently rejoined our staff in the Civil Division. He previously worked here from 1994 to 2004 and then went into the private practice of law. He later was the chief deputy clerk in the Kane County Clerk’s Office. Bob was kind, caring, friendly, enthusiastic and generous. He willingly provided much insight about county government to his new co-workers. His candor and thoughtfulness were greatly appreciated. Bob loved to work outside, boasted about his homemade barbeque sauce and spoke glowingly of his wife, Mary, and daughter, Nina. Bob grew up in Elmhurst and earned his undergraduate and law degrees, both with honors, from DePaul University. We will miss him.
