Teresa Daniels (Davis)

Birth Date: 1965-12-20
Graduation year: 1983
Deceased Date: 2019-05-25
Obituary:
Mrs. Teresa Davis Daniels was an amazing woman to say the least. Even if you had only known her for a very short time, you could tell there was something special about her.

Teresa was born in Tallapoosa, GA to Kenny and Myra Davis on December 20th 1965. She was the older sister to her brothers Terry and Chris Davis. She gave birth to her oldest child, Michael on October 10th, 1982 and then to her daughter, Jessica February 3rd, 1989. Her two children were her treasures.

Teresa married the love of her life, Chris Daniels on October 11th, 1998. Chris and Teresa had their first date January 9th, 1998 and ten months later began their wedded journey. Teresa, Michael and Jessica gladly welcomed Chris and his two sons, Cody and Lance into their family. Hercules, their white Maltese was brought into their family in 2006. Michael and Jessica both would arguably say Hercules was Teresa's favorite child.

Teresa began her career as a Master Cosmetologist over 30 years ago. Only a few short years later, she bought Hair Etc. in Carrollton Ga. and made it her own. Teresa's customers were more than just customers to her, they were her family and were frequently given terms of endearment such as "prissy tail" and "sista."

Teresa loved working in her salon, spending time with her grandchildren, Aiden and Brayden and her great grandchildren, Maggie and Kross. Teresa also loved taking trips to the mountains to spend quality time with her family. She loved shopping for shoes and bargain hunting for clothes for the rest of the family. Teresa, however, did not like camping, hunting or fishing, and most of all negative attitudes.

Teresa was a devout Christian and to say that she loved Jesus is an understatement. Her Lord and Savior was and is her passion. She was constantly sharing her faith with her family and customers and anyone else who would listen. Her pastor, Jon Ellis stated that even when no one else in the service was praising God, Teresa was on her feet, hands lifted in praise.

On the morning of May 25th, 2019 Teresa ended her journey on this earth at the very young age of 53. Her funeral was held May 27th, 2019 at the Refuge and was more of a celebration, than a sad event.Melanie King, Betty Maddox, and other musicians from the church sang some of her favorite songs and her pastor, Jon Ellis, delivered the message. Her final request for a lost soul to be saved was met when her husband, Chris Daniels, gave an alter call at the end of the service. Teresa got to rejoice with the rest of Heaven as at least two souls were saved, and others made life changing decisions. Teresa was laid to rest in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Chris Daniels; parents, Kenneth and Myra Davis, all of Tallapoosa; daughter and son in law, Jessica and John MacDowell of Tallapoosa; sons and daughters in law, Michael and Mae Whitman of Tallapoosa, Cody and Robin Daniels and Lance Daniels all of LaGrange; grandchildren, Aiden Whitman, Brayden Whitman, Reggi and Jesse Walton, Brandon MacDowell, Mackenzie MacDowell and Kale Daniels; great-grandchildren, Maggie Walton and Kross Walton; and brothers and sister in law, Terry and Rachel Davis of Fruithurst and Chris Davis of Bremen.

Although there was much heart ache, her service was a celebration of her life. To say that Teresa "lost" her battle to breast cancer is a huge disservice to her. She fought valiantly and won her battle, and now she is victorious, living forever with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
