- Graduated from James B. Dudley High School in 1984.

- Was a dedicated worker. He was employed by Advance Home Care for over ten years. He also worked full-time for Furniture Land South and part-time for Spring Valley Restaurant for over 15 years.

- Attended New Beginnings Community Outreach Church until his declining health prevented him from participating.

Reginald
- Loved watching spiritual sermons on various television networks and singing gospel songs to himself. He especially enjoyed family gatherings and doing word search puzzles.

- Had a family of aunts, uncles, and cousins where he had the pleasure of residing. They nurtured him all the way to his final moments of life. He was well-loved.

- Is survived by his stepdaughter, Tukela Hayes, Greensboro, NC, and two sisters, Danielle Erwin-Marsh (Bruce) of Greensboro, NC, and Rosemary Quick-Steele (Raymond) of High Point, NC. One Goddaughter, Nikia Tatum of Greensboro, NC. three grandchildren, Mikel-ah Mills, Honesti Knight, and Ja-siar Hayes all of Greensboro, NC. one nephew Jordan McMaster, Greensboro, NC.; four aunts, Mrs. Sandra Young Pressley (Danny), Mrs. Carol Young Shepard, Ms. Brenda Cathey, and Mrs. Malinda Blackmon (James) all of Greensboro, NC.; five uncles George Erwin (Kim) of Fayetteville, NC, Reginald Cathey (Beverley), Ronald Cathey (Shirley) all of Greensboro, NC, Luther Cathey (Diane) of High Point, NC, Frederick Cathey (Lesley) of Atlanta, GA, and a wonderful caring Godmother, Mrs. Rosa Sellars, and Godbrother Curtis Sellars. Adorable and loving friend Tammy Rodriquez and running partners and friends forever Mike Hughes, Shawn Hughes, and David Stubblefield. Special cousins Katherine Stubblefield, Charlotte Pressley, and Daniel ‘Al’ Young.
