Edward Sylvester 'Billy' Kemp
1997-11-24
Edward Sylvester Kemp "Billy," experienced the beauty of God's saving grace as he slipped into slumber on Monday, November 24, 1997, at his Greensboro home.
He was the first of five children born to the late Margaret Kemp McDonald and Arthur McDonald. Two sisters preceded him in death, Mrs. Ruth Leavenson and Mrs. Veda Wood.
Billy accumulated an array of friends with his jolly personality from school age through the forty-plus years of residence in New York City. Upon his return to his native city of Greensboro, NC, he affirmed his faith by joining Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. There he learned the love of God and that God loved him.
He leaves to cherish two sisters, Mrs.
Mary Palmer of Baltimore, MD; Mrs.
Ruby Young (T. Rudolph) of Greensboro, NC; a loving and devoted niece and nephew, Mrs. Wanda Williams, and Bobby Williams of the home; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
