Daniels Park - Friday, September 16, 5:30PM until Sunset

Enjoy breathtaking views, stories of woodsies 50 years ago, bison, friends of old and new and maybe even a beer. ;-)

Friday Night Daniels Park "Woodsie" - FREE - Free

Friday, September 16, 2022.

5:30 PM until Sunset

....well kind of a Woodsie. There will be limited availability reliving our very own Daniels Park and if we are lucky, 35 of us lucky souls will get to hear classmate and Class Mascot Emeritus, Ralph Jones, tell some of his favorite Daniels Park stories. While we were in class, Buffalo Ralph was in the field learning from the Buffalos and other wildlife that inhabited the sacred land that we gouged from their souls and developed a world-class golf course. It's still beautiful up there!

Everyone is welcome up to 35 cars.  Register right here so we know you are coming!  We will shut this off when the event is "full".

Complimentary refreshments and bathroom.

Saturday School Tour 1PM

Saturday Casual Reunion Dinner & Program 5:00PM

Lone Tree Golf Club and Hotel

9808 Sunningdale Blvd.

Lone Tree, CO  80124

This is the main event of the 3-day weekend. For our 50th reunion, we have reserved a dining room, two patios, and casual spaces for visiting, munching, and socializing with classmates of 50 years ago or perhaps newly discovered friends you never knew back in the day!

A variety of pupu platters awaits you from which to choose meats and cheeses, rustic breads, fresh veggies, BBQ meatballs, teriyaki chicken skewers, and other delectable delights.

This evening, we are also planning a "Program" for you that will include a trivia contest, so get ready for a little entertainment! :-)

Cash Bar.

Sunday Picnic @ deKoevend Park 2:30PM

After failing to do this at Arapahoe, former Reunion Chief Mark Hawkins finally raises his hand.

2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Picnic at deKoevend Park (6301 S. University Blvd.)

Food Trucks or BYO or both!

We have the afternoon to hang loose at deKoevend Park.  A live band, The Mango Brothers, will entertain us. Robb Heskett and Smitty Smith roll out Island flavor music on guitar and percussion. Bring a picnic or choose from menus of "Big Stuff Burger" and "Walking Taco" food trucks.

Every registered attendee receives a coupon for $15 to spend at the Food Truck.

This the Half Pounder! They have smaller versions. :-)
This the Half Pounder! They have smaller versions. :-)

After traveling the globe and mastering a variety of cuisines, Brad Brutlag landed right here in Parker when he won the Food Network's Great Food Truck Race.

Hungry? Come to the picnic and the food truck will be at your beck and call. :-)

From the Walking Taco Menu:

The House Sirloin is our take on the classic taco meat while the Barbacoa finds its roots in the tiny rural area of Texcoco, about 15 miles east of Mexico City. Slow-braised beef with dried chiles and adobo make this one of our most popular options.

Our Pork Carnitas is a four generations-old family recipe, so graciously donated to us by our amazing production Chef, Chuey. Top secret and in our opinion, it’s the best Carnitas ever!
Although not originally on the menu, our Shredded Chicken option was added by popular demand. White and dark meat chicken is slow stewed with onion, tomato, garlic, and southwestern spices. An excellent choice for those looking to keep it on the lighter side.
The Black Bean Medley is cooked in a citrus broth with caramelized onion, sweet peppers, and garlic until perfectly flavorful. Our Vegan Crumble browned with a complex blend of dried chiles and spices and is made by the Impossible Co. We at The Walking Taco wanted our vegan/vegetarian friends to feel right at home with several options to choose from.

The Mango Brothers are playing deKoevend on Sunday the 18th of September! Wasted away in...

Parking at deKoevend Park - Near Shelter A

Parking for Sunday's picnic is off of University Blvd. at the south end of the park (but NORTH of Arapahoe Rd!). See the map for the appropriate lot and where our "Shelter A" is located. DO NOT take Josephine Way. The lot is just south of there. Enter FROM University Blvd
