Bill and I were neighbors, and I enjoyed his friendship. If I remember correctly, he was a great water skier and athlete. We were at UW together having lunch one day when he told me he was going to drop out of school and enlist in the military. I discouraged him to do so since the war in Vietnam was going on at that time and by staying in school he could avoid going. He said he want to get his military obligation over. As we all know he was killed by a sniper in Vietnam. It was raining the day of his funeral. I know we are all saddened by the loss of our friend Bill. Bless his soul. Cheryl Duthie May.
