Gary and I worked as high school interns at American National Bank one summer. Little did either of us realize that one day Gary would be president of that same bank. Gary never lost his enthusiasm for life. He had a characteristic, high-pitched, infectious laugh that I could recognize immediately. I wish I had kept in more frequent touch with him. We lost him far too soon.
