Comment: DFW resident. After graduation, worked odd jobs from broiler cook in the middle of the steakhouse (Copper Creek Mine) to assembling motorcycles (Honda of Lubbock). In '79, Texaco hired me and for the next 21yrs, I performed most every job in the oil patch: from digging ditches/laying flowline to designing rod strings/writing up acid jobs. Graduated Tech in '93 (late bloomer). Changed jobs in 2001 to current installing and maintaining oil and gas software all over the US. That's 44 years to date in the oil patch. Believe me, it's been an adventure.
