Dr. Raymond Robert "Rob" Beatty, Jr., 66, of Annville, PA, died at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Rob’s family was most grateful for the compassionate care provided by all caregivers over the previous two weeks at both HUP and The Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. Rob was the loving and devoted husband of Dr. Karla M. Ludwig to whom he was married for 34 years. Rob was born in Pittsburgh. Rob was graduate of Princeton University and a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Rob was a compassionate Pulmonary Physician for over 30 years. He retired in 2018 from Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Rob is survived by a son, Elliot Bradford Beatty, a daughter, Adrienne Champlain Beatty and her fiancee Michael Morabito. He is also survived by a sister Kimberly Beatty of Pittsburgh. Rob will always be remembered by those who knew him well for his curiosity, remarkable creativity and mindfulness. We will keep close not only his memory but the beautiful relics of his creativity.
