Debra O'Connor
2011-07-05
Debra died at age 58 after battling kidney/liver cancer. She still lived in McCandless Twp.
Sandy Greenwood Faulkner: She was a wife to Tom O'Connor. A mother of 2 sons, Ryan & Brandon. Debra was a sister to Jon, Darlene, Scott, & the late Cheryl Huntzinger. And my friend. Our friendship began in high school. After we graduated, we became closer after a car accident in which her boyfriend Chris Sarver was killed. Debbie would join Jerry, me, Terry Mandera & George Haley when we went out. She called herself the fifth wheel. We enjoyed her company & her laughter & her beautiful smile. We were at Kings Inn when she spotted a cute guy & asked me to introduce him to her. And the rest is history. They got married in her parents’ back yard & had 2 wonderful sons. She loved her life. She was beautiful inside & out. May you rest in peace with no pain. Love you.
Kathy Regas Wallace told us that Debbie also tended to her sister Cheryl throughout her battle with cancer until she passed just a couple of years ago; "My heart is breaking".
Debbie Palmieri Arfman, Cathy Sandin Seymour, Suzi Douthett Jacobs, Bobby Wanner, Jim Allen and so many others stated their sadness on our reunion Facebook page.
