Susan Panagulias
2004-02-28
Susan died from lung cancer.
Sue Simakas Schumacher: I was shocked & saddened when I heard that Sue had passed away. In junior high, Sue & I were close friends. She invited me, a fellow Greek, to join her family at a Greek Dance. We had such a blast—the best Greek dancing ever! Fast forward to 1986 in Atlanta...I was in a children’s shop & someone came up to me and asked, “Are you Sue Simakas?” How fun--it was Sue Panagulias! It was so great catching up…amazingly, we had both married “a Gary”, both had daughters named Christina, we both had a sibling who had died, & of course, both named Sue! It was a great “reunion”. But I am sad that although we planned to get together, I never saw her again. A dear sweet friend from our NA days, Sue Panagulias will never be forgotten. Thank you, Sue Strothman & Diane Adzema, for helping us to pay tribute to our lost classmates of the NA Class of 1971.
