Sandra Lee Wilson Schweers, d. September 6, 2022 at age 69. Sandra had been living in Seven Fields. She was a longtime resident of McCandless and a graduate of NA where she met her beloved husband of 38 years, Mark Schweers (’71 also), who preceded her in death (March 10, 2016). Sandra was also a graduate of Grove City College and Duquesne University Graduate School of Education. Sandra began her career as an elementary school teacher in 1976, but took an extended break from her career as an educator to raise their three children. She was a devoted and proud mother and wife who fiercely loved her family. In 2000 Sandra returned to the classroom working tirelessly as a Reading Specialist and Classroom Teacher at Cornell Elementary School until her retirement in 2018. For many years Sandra was a parishioner at Sts. John and Paul Catholic Church in Sewickley and she was an active parishioner at St. Kilian Parish in Cranberry Township. She enjoyed volunteering her time in the faith formation program at St. Kilian. During the last year of her life, Sandra was a resident of the memory care unit at Anthology of McCandless where she received incredibly kind and patient care. Sandra is survived by their three children, two grandchildren and her sister.
