Michael Dominesey

Birth Date: 1954-04-26
Graduation year: 1972
Deceased Date: 1983-10-29
Obituary:
Michael was so dang cute as a baby and even as a young man. He had sparkling blue eyes and beautiful blonde hair. Dimples and that big toothy smile the Dominesey’s all seem to possess.

After high school graduation Michael enlisted in the Navy becoming a Sea Bee. ???? Soon after he married his high school sweetheart Cindy. While they eventually divorced, life gave them four great kids- Christan, Michael Jr., Matthew and Georgianna.

My beautiful brother left us too soon changing our family in ways never anticipated. He was a blessing in life and still blesses us from heaven.

James Dominesey

Birth Date: 1945-09-21
Obituary:
Jim was the oldest of 9 children. My big brother. As a little girl he was my hero. He went off to live at the Dominesey farm in Sheldon as a teenager which seemed very strange to me. Soon after high school he joined the Navy and soon after that met the love of his life Susan Galo. Jim and Susie married and had 4 children, James Francis, Mark & Michael - twin boys, and Cindy. They lived in the Virginia Beach area. The Navy is part of the VB culture so when Jim joined the Naval Reserves it was no surprise. Nor was it when he rose up the ranks becoming a Chief.

Patricia J. Dominesey

Feb. 21, 1927-Dec. 21, 2022

Patricia J. (née Noecker) Dominesey, formerly of East Aurora, died at her Lady Lake, Florida home on December 21, 2022. She was 95.

Mrs. Dominesey, known to family and friends as Pat, was the courageous, vibrant matriarch of her very large family and truly lived her life holding each of her children and grandchildren in thought and prayer daily until she succumbed to complications from congestive heart failure and rheumatoid arthritis. She was married to her husband Norman Dominesey for 62 years, until his death in 2006. Although Mr. and Mrs. Dominesey spent a little over ten years in Virginia Beach when Norm retired, they returned to the Village of East Aurora where they began their married life in 1943.

Mrs. Dominesey always had a smile to share as she enjoyed being a wife, mother, and happy grandmother above all else. Married during World War II at the age of 16, she spent her life in service to her family as a loving, faith-filled wife, mother, and grandmother of 30 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Her greatest gift to her family is the legacy she leaves behind: “Us.”

Mrs. Dominesey spent her last few years enjoying sunny Lady Lake, Florida. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in East Aurora and St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Florida.

Mrs. Dominesey is survived by her children Patricia J. (Kenneth) Kota, Norman J. (Patricia) Dominesey, Thomas J. (Sylvia) Dominesey, Vincent P. (Sheryl) Dominesey, Catherine Schutrum (Paul) Prohoniak and Prudence (Michael) McCarthy; grandchildren Mark Dominesey, Mike Dominesey, Julie Dominesey, Cindy Roberts, Andrew Urbaczewski, Elizabeth Durr, Patricia Robinson, Kenneth Kota II, Joshua Kota, Benjamin Kota, Jennifer Saunders, Heather Schweitzer, Norman Dominesey, Jr. (III), Sean Dominesey, Katherine Griggs, Matthew Dominesey, Julia Dominesey, Michael Dominesey, Matthew Dominesey, Georgianna Andreczjak, Christan O’Leary, Jason Dominesey, Jessica Hovey, Michael Schutrum, Jr., Sarah Joplin, Alexandra Beste, Erin Tigh, Erica McGowan, Michael McCarthy Jr., and Morgan McCarthy; siblings Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Mest, Nicholas Noecker, Charles Noecker, Paul Noecker, Sister Catherine Noecker, OSF, and Thomas Noecker; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

My Mom was a force to be reckoned with. She seemed invincible and yet she was- as we all are invincible. Mom was my greatest teacher. I could love and dislike her in the same moment and then laugh with her about our shared understanding of our flaws. Shortly before Mom went to heaven she looked at me and while shaking her head said, "Patsy, why did God make you like me?" I don't know Mom, but I'm honored to be your namesake and to carry on your mission of love.

Two Love Stories - July 2, 2009
It was a beautiful summer morning and Dad ( Grandpa, Big Pa) Noecker was at the kitchen table where his Hospice nurse, Lisa, had just finished giving him his breakfast. (His health had declined and his speech was compromised.) Dad wanted to sit at the table awhile longer to visit with Carol, Michelle and Sharon. Carol asked dad to tell the story of how his parents met. Dad was a lifelong visual learner and always utilized whatever he found, be it a Burger KIng napkin, piece of cardboard, or plywood to draw an image to describe what point he was making. What ever was available would do. We got him a piece of paper and he began drawing a box labeling it Grandpa’s farm. Then he drew an arrow and wrote 2 1/2 miles above it. He then drew another box and labeled it Grandma’s School House. He got out that Grandpa’s farm was 2 1/2 miles down the road from Grandma’s Farm. The rest is history! ♥️ ????
Carol had gone up stairs to get dressed while Michelle & Sharon stayed at the table with Grandpa. He picked up the pencil and without a word be an to sketch again. He drew a partial figure of a person and a smaller person next to it. Purposefully, he connected the two people by their hands and that’s when our little game of charades began. After several questions and gestures about whom each person was and what they were doing, we discovered that the figures were he and Grandma Stella. Several more questions, gestures and a big smile on his face told us Dad’s story! He was excited and couldn’t wait to hold the hand of his long lost sweetheart again when he joined her in Heaven! Dad died 22 days later. ♥️ ????

Whenever I think of Uncle John a couple images always come to mind. First- his enormous smile. Second, his penetrating eyes, as if he was looking deep into you wanting to ask questions about who you were but daring not to. And third, his kindness to a niece.

Obituary:
DAD wrote in my high school autograph book, "A friend in need is a friend indeed!" Truly that was a reflection of his history of responding to anyone in need as the Good Samaritan Jesus spoke about in the Gospels. It also is a huge reminder of the many times my pleas were granted without question: like the time we were going to Gowanda to baptize Tim Noecker and I wanted to take the back roads. Mind you it is WNY winter and snow plows were busy on Rte. 62. But, he did it, we slipped and slided but made it to St. Joseph's on time. Being "Daddy's girl" had its perks. So did being the daughter following the births of 5 sons!
Dad's carpenter hands always reminded me of St. Joseph and the memory of his building a stable for the parish Christmas creche is extra special.
Not only was Dad a Horse Whisperer, as I later learned, he mentioned once that his dream was to have a ranch with horses. He could also get Laddie our pet collie to smile.
When showing him a college paper I had dedicated to him, a tear fell on it as he said, "I'm not afraid to die, I just hate to have to leave your mother." There was never a doubt that their love was special - except for the time when, while I was still home and my bedroom was directly over theirs, I heard what sounded like a fierce argument. The next morning I asked Mom if they were getting a divorce. She laughed out loud when I told her why and said, "We were just talking politics!" Some things never change...

Mary Louise Urbaczewski (Dominesey)

Birth Date: 1947-05-26
Deceased Date: 1999-03-07
Obituary:
Mary Lou was the oldest daughter of 9 children. Our Mom always said she couldn’t have taken care of so many babies without Mary Lou being there to bounce, burp and change diapers. My big sister grew tall and straight which was a contrast to my short squat form. She was blonde and blue-eyed, pretty and elegant. In fact Mary Lou loved to speak French, or at least try to. She took ballet lessons and modern dance too. I recall Mary always having many friends her entire life with a large fun personality to match her large smile. Mary met Simon Urbaczewski while in the Gowanda School of Nursing, marrying him in 1971. They had three children, Andrew, Elizabeth and Patricia Mary. They lived in Virginia Beach, Va. enjoying the southern lifestyle and all it has to offer.
