Let's have lunch for the babies!

PICC's Luncheon for Drug-Exposed Infants

Pediatric Interim Care Center will hold its 2025 Luncheon for Drug-Exposed Infants on Thursday, May 15, at ShoWare Center in Kent.  Popular Sportscaster and former Seahawk QB Brock Huard will be keynote speaker, and KOMO-TV News Anchor Michelle Esteban will host the event, which will also feature a Seattle sports auction and a drawing for a Holland America Cruise for two. Check-in is at 11:30 a.m., and the program begins at noon.  Registration for the event is free, but your donation at the luncheon will support the care of drug-exposed infants in PICC's Newborn Nursery. The luncheon is sponsored by the Board of Directors and is the organization’s major  fundraising event.  The annual event draws 300-600 guests and raises more than $100,000.

About the organizer

Pediatric Interim Care Center answers a crying need in our community -- the danger and distress faced by babies who come into life affected by drugs their mothers took during pregnancy.  Located in Kent, PICC’s Newborn Nursery is the only facility providing safe shelter and 24-hour transitional care for drug-exposed infants in Western Washington.  Since its founding in 1990, PICC has brought more than 3,400 drug-exposed newborns a safe and healthy start in life. The first program of its kind, Pediatric Interim Care Center has become a national model for transitional care of drug-exposed infants.  PICC's Annual Luncheon is the nonprofit organization's major fundraiser, drawing 500-600 friends to ShoWare Center each year to support PICC's babies.
