Local SHS Meetups Hosted by SHS Class of ‘73

After such a tremendous response at our 50-year reunion, several people asked why we couldn’t do something more often.  The answer had to be simple and require a minimal amount of work and produce the greatest result.  We went to work immediately to respond to those requests.  Because the Friday night meet and greet was so much fun at the reunion, we approached the Holiday Inn Harbourside about allowing us to have biannual get togethers at the same location on the property (Cruzan Rum Shack).  Not only were they supportive of the idea, they also extended a block of rooms at rates starting at $195 per night for the October date (rates good Friday and Saturday night and 3 days before and 3 days after).  See information on “Host Hotel” section on MyEvent website (use code S73).

• We targeted October and April as great months to have these regional meetups every year because the weather is cooler.
• There is no cost to reserve the meetup area, so the event will be free.
• The meetup is for anyone, but hosted by SHS Class of ’73.
• The meet up will be one night only (a Friday in October or Saturday night in April).
• We will use Facebook invites to generate interest and let you know who is coming.
• SHS nametags will be available for guests to write their name on.

Not everyone lives in this area and can get back here.  We get it.  There is a map in the MyEvent webpage that shows where everyone who registered is located.  Check it out.  You might be surprised who you do know that lives close to you.  If you are planning a regional meetup, let us know.  We will promote it with you.
