Paul Vincent Giacino

Birth Date: 1966-04-06
Graduation year: 1984
Deceased Date: 2023-12-23
Obituary:
Paul Vincent Giacino sadly passed away on December 23, 2023 from courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 6, 1966 in New York City. Later he grew up in Tewksbury, NJ, spent some time in Lebanon Twp. prior to residing in Oxford, NJ.
Paul worked endlessly, all day shifts and night shifts, back to back, fixing water and gas mains, snowplowing during snow storms, endless hours without a complaint. He was loved and respected by his co-workers and his best buddy and lifetime friend, Wayne where I heard many tales of the antics they had together.
Paul was a mountain man full of wisdom and common sense. At every turn of the day, he could humor you with a great phrase! One of his favorite phrases was “I never remember putting a horse on my Christmas wish list.”
The world could learn what loyalty was from Paul, his greatest quality. Paul was always game for whatever adventure I was cooking up whether it was dragging him from show to show or an auction.
Paul’s dream was to own the farm we reside at and he worked diligently to make it happen, hurdling every road block in his way only to be diagnosed with cancer. Reluctant to tell his friends, Paul tirelessly renovated this house, barn and property to only have a short time here. He named it “HEAVEN SENT FARM”. My wish for him would’ve been to have 100 years here. He asked for Paul ashes to be put in three special spots on the farm where he will be missed every day.
Paul is survived by his wife, Bonnie Terry of 22 years, his best friend Wayne, his extended family, and mostly the many, many friends and co-workers he made along the way.
No flowers, just think of Paul often as a great man, serious hunter, outdoorsman, fixer upper, and a get-it-done type of man.
In lieu of flowers, a Go-Fund-Me page has been set up to keep help Bonnie keep Paul’s dream flourishing for years to come.

Deceased Date: 2018-03-04
Obituary:
Chris passed away in March of 2018 from colon cancer. For those of us who knew Chris, we’d all agree - he lived his life with grace, kindness, compassion, and humor. To his final day, there was a twinkle in his eye, and he was quick to share a memory and a laugh.
Chris graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1991 with a BS Degree in Accounting and went on to join Arthur Andersen’s audit practice in New Jersey. From Andersen, Chris went on to Bed Bath & Beyond and eventually landed at Grant Thornton. Chris always made it a point to share his most important commodity - his time, with the Plattsburgh student body.
Chris’ legacy will live on through this Endowment Fund. Annually, students that have applied for financial assistance from the Fund will be reviewed and selected on the following criteria- their overall GPA, their interest in pursuing a career in accounting, and most importantly, their support of the on-campus accounting community. Chris would be proud that his name is associated with this Fund, and his legacy of support, connecting people, and encouragement continues…
