About Us

Beyond The Label was founded in 2024 by two autism mamas (Raquel and Natalie) and an incredible superhuman (Erin).  All 5 of Raquel and Natalie’s children have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, and all 5 are *wildly* different! Our company is dedicated to promoting inclusion and acceptance of autism and all individuals with special needs, and helping people see Beyond The Label of a diagnosis - and see each beautiful unique individual.

Raquel Hurlbut, Co-Founder + Autism Mama

Raquel is a retired law enforcement officer and full time SAHM.  Both of her children were diagnosed with ASD.  Ford was diagnosed at 2 years old and Henley was diagnosed at 7 years old.  After 5 years of being an Autism Mom and advocating and fighting for her children, working for acceptance and inclusion in my immediate circle of influence, helping educate other Autism Mamas about their children’s rights… she realized she had a deep need to do more for not just her children, but all special needs individuals and families in her community.  It was then and there that this idea was born.  Her first stop in making this dream a reality was to her first Autism Mama friend, Natalie Luna…

Natalie Luna, Co-Founder + Autism Mama

Natalie is boy mom to three awesome little dudes, Grant and Jack (twins)6yrs and Ben 4yrs. All three of her sons are autistic. Prior to her son’s diagnosis, autism was something she knew little about. Navigating Autism, Pica, Apraxia, AAC and ADHD her home is full of lots of action! Advocating and spreading awareness has become a huge part of our families unique journey which at times can feel isolating. We have been fortunate to meet many amazing people along the way that have had a valuable impact on our lives including Raquel and Erin. She looks forward to working with these ladies to build a stronger community for special needs families.

Erin O'Bra, Chief Operating Officer & Board Member

Erin is a student at Pepperdine University’s master of science in ABA. After years of experience working the field of ABA and connecting with autism families, she knew it was her calling to become a BCBA and provide compassionate and neurodiversity affirming care to autistic children. When Raquel and Natalie approached her to join their journey, she was beyond excited and is so grateful to be apart of the team and can't wait to make a difference in the community!
