Dana Lynne Wood, 57, of Burkburnett, TX, passed away on March 7, 2020. Born August 4, 1962, she is predeceased by her parents, Dwight and Betty (Bowman) Lionberger.

Dana was a lifelong learner and educator who lived in Burkburnett and worked for the OJA in Lawton, OK. She earned a law degree from Texas Tech. She worked for the MSU chapter of Upward Bound, first as the Academic Coordinator and then later, as Director. She found beauty in the strange and eccentric, including in people. She always knew when to give a hug and when to set you straight. She was an animal lover, fostering and adopting many special needs animals. She was also a voracious reader, earning her master's in library science, serving on the local library board, and working with the local ALA and TLA chapter. She spent the last few years as a stand-in pastor for the Randlett United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Airicca (Ricci) and grandson, Abram. A virtual celebration of life is scheduled for October 31st. Her Facebook will have up-to-date details.
