Laucinda "Cindy" Louise Helenschmidt, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Gilbertson, officiating. Interment will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Cindy was born in Odessa, Texas on June 24, 1962. She was the daughter of Leo Snyder and Nona and Willis Bartley. Cindy was a loving mom, nana, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She graduated from Burkburnett High School in 1980 and Vernon College of Nursing in 1993. Her gentle and caring nature contributed to her love of nursing. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Snyder; and her mother and step-father, Nona and Willis Bartley. She is survived by her sons, Eddie Newman and wife Kelly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jason Newman of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Robert Snyder, and Alan Snyder of Burkburnett; her sister, Jannie Bartley Gilbertson and husband Dr. Jeff Gilbertson "Dr. G" of Graham; her precious grandbabies, Macyn, Hailey, and Grayson; and her nephews, nieces, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
