Robert Allen "Bobby" Baird died in a vehicle accident on February 29, 1980. He was born April 17, 1963, in Kittery, Maine, and was a junior at Burkburnett High School when he passed. He had lived in Burkburnett since 1974.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Baird of Burkburnett; a sister, Gwen Stimpson of Burkburnett; and two brothers, Michael and Kippy, both of Burkburnett; two grandmothers, Mrs. Clifford Baird of Scottsdale, Pa, and Mrs. Geraldine Newsome of West Palm Beach, Fla; and an uncle William D. Baird of Ruffsdale, Pa.

Services were held on Monday, March 3, at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Edward Miller, pastor, and the Rev. Max Dowling officiated.  Burial was in Burkburnett Cemetery under direction of Owens and Brumley of Burkburnett. On his tombstone it says "Peace and Love Hereafter with the Lord my Master".
