Idella died in her sleep August 5, 2020, in Medicine Hat.
She was predeceased by her parents Maurice and Edna Malkin, her husbands John Walker and Pete Mayhew and her brother Allan.
She is survived by her brothers Melvyn (Elaine), Saskatoon and Gordon (Alda), Victoria, and sister-in-law Joan Malkin, Edmonton. Also survived by her children Brent Mayhew, Calgary and grandchildren Michelle, Christopher and Valerie, and daughter Brenda Titsing (Ray), Medicine Hat and grandchildren Raymond and Daniel and great-grandchildren.
Idella grew up in Saskatoon, attended Pleasant Hill School and Bedford Road Collegiate. She worked for many years at City Hall in the assessors' department. A keen vocalist, she sang with several choirs in Saskatoon and was active with square dance clubs for many years. She had moved to Medicine Hat in 1996.
