MARTENS, Peter, late of Granum, AB, died peacefully on November 18, 2012 with a hard battle of cancer at the age of 65.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Tena (Miller) of 42 years; sons, Ron (Carman) of Germany, Victor of Calgary, Stan (Char) of Ottawa, ON; one daughter Debbie of Calgary; three grandchildren and his mother Tena Martens of Saskatoon; brothers, Henry, Jake (Marge), of Saskatoon; sister Kathy (Arnold Spatt) of Fort Qu'Pelle SK, Willy (Sandra) of Regina, and his uncles and in-laws.
He was born and raised in Warman, SK. He got his education in Warman and Bedford Road Collegiate, moved to Southern Alberta 29 years ago, he worked on a ranch as a mechanic.
The memorial service will be held at the Layden Funeral Home in Clarshome, AB, Monday, November 24.
