NORMAN HOLTBY October 27, 1926 - April 23, 2009
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon.
He is survived by his sons, Alan (Sheila) of Saskatoon, granddaughters, Rebekah (Tyrone) of St. Paul, Alberta and Laura (Leigh) of Saskatoon; Bruce, granddaughters, Amy and Beth of Edmonton, Alberta; and daughter, Judy Blasi (Michel) and granddaughter, Jenny (Mitch) of Canberra Australia.
Norman was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor; and parents, Cecil and Maryadelle Holtby .
Norman was born in Saskatoon on October 27, 1926. He was educated at Caswell school, then Bedford Road Collegiate and graduated from the U. of S. in 1947 with the last Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Sherbrooke Community Centre (401 Acadia Drive). Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank the staff at House #3 of Prairie Spring Care Home and St. Paul's Hospital for the wonderful care they gave him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Prairie View Chapel Crematorium, 242-7884.
