BRAUN, Anna April 8, 1932 - June 10, 2021
It is with sorrow and sadness that our family announces the passing of Anna Braun (née Gajdycz) on June 10, 2021.
Anna was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on April 8, 1932, and was the youngest of five children. As a teenager, Anna attended Bedford Road high school where she made several lifelong friends. In 1954, Anna married Tibor (Ted) Braun, deceased as of 2014, and and they settled in Saskatoon. Anna and Ted were devoted parents to Katherine, Andrew and Theodore, who learned the values of education, music and culture from their parents.
Anna served as a role model for her children, studying part-time to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan. She was also an active member of the Ukrainian Orthodox community for many years.
Anna died peacefully of natural causes.
A private funeral service was held in Saskatoon on June 15, 2021. Anna will be remembered by her children, five grandchildren, her sister Marion, her many nieces and nephews and the community of Saskatoon, for her good heart and the support she provided to her family and friends. May her spirit rest in peace.
