With heavy hearts, the family of Douglas "Doug" Cole announce his passing at Luther Care Home on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
Doug will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Novia; son, Robert; nieces, Jacqueline, Michelle, Dorothy and Betty; and nephews, Glenn, Charlie and Don. He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and George Cole; brother, Art Cole; sister, Eileen Hobbs; and nephew, Jim Cole.
Doug was born in Ruthilda, SK and graduated from Bedford Road Collegiate. He worked at the Division of Building Research at the National Research Council for 38 years. He was a master woodworker, and loved curling, golf, fishing, and hunting but most of all he loved his workshop. His greatest pride and joy came from his family, he was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed.
