Bill Headley
HEADLEY, Bill 1935 - 2012
A celebration of life for Bill Headley will be held Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m. at The Cave, 2720 8th Street.
Born in Saskatoon, Bill graduated from Bedford Road Collegiate in 1953 and started his professional sales career Lever Bros. and continued as a pharmaceutical rep for Astra and Pfizer in Saskatchewan, Montreal and Toronto. In retirement he ran a small delivery service, still delivering for Shopper's Drug Mart to the day before his passing.
Many years were spent hiking and canoeing at the family cottage at Waskesiu. Bill especially enjoyed his stint with Air Search and Rescue in the Yukon and his time spent coaching Bantam hockey. He was involved in all aspects of his children's lives (Ken, Kirk, Glenn, Colleen) and helped them find their life's path. Grandson Wyatt was the apple of his eye. Throughout his life, he enjoyed the people he met and would always go out of his way to help friends any way he could. Most recently he could always be found giving history lessons to friends at The Cave.
Come share your memories of Bill at this celebration on Thursday, February 23rd.
