WHITTAKER, Garfield (Gary)
Born November 2, 1932, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2008 at Delta Hospital, Ladner, BC, with his wife Elaine and children at his side.
Gary grew up in Saskatoon where he attended Caswell School and Bedford Road Collegiate, and later, worked for Safeway before working on BC Coast Steamships' "love boat", The Princess Patricia. He loved to travel particularly to Mexico. He enjoyed talking to people all over the world on amateur radio and he had a great love of music which he shared with his family and friends.
Gary will be greatly missed by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Diane Bence (Shawn) and granddaughters Tannis, Shannon, and Alannah; son, Donald Whittaker (Jaime) and granddaughter, Taylor; and son, Gerry Whittaker. He is also survived by his sisters Ruth Prime (Don) of Calgary, AB, and Gail Freethy (Alan) of Rabbit Lake, SK, and many nieces and nephews.
