COLEBANK, MABEL ELIZABETH December 27, 1914 - May 20, 2008
Mabel passed away peacefully at her home in Parkville Manor.
Mabel was born to William and Annie Colebank in Regina, SK and soon after they moved to Saskatoon. She attended Albert School and Bedford Road Collegiate and then worked briefly at the Saskatoon Technical Collegiate. For the next 44 years she worked for Bowman Brothers in Saskatoon and then Acklands in Winnipeg, where she was the office manager. She retired in 1980 and moved back to Saskatoon to be near her family.
Mabel was an active member of the Saskatoon Skating Club and a member of St. James Anglican Church for over 85 years, where she was very involved in the ACW. Mabel was very outgoing and truly had a 'heart of gold'. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving family: sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Peter Verbeke, niece Patricia (Terry) Stefanyshin and their son Robert, all of Saskatoon, nephew Donald (Lorraine) Verbeke and their daughters Juliet and Lorree of Edmonton.
Mabel's ashes will be laid to rest next to her mother and father in Woodlawn Cemetery at a private family service as she requested. Arrangements entrusted to Lynn Constantinoff of PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 244-2103.
