GAULIN, LEO PAUL January 30, 1918 - September 13, 2006
Leo Gaulin passed away peacefully at Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane, AB, September 13, 2006.
He was born to Joseph and Margaret (Hebert) Gaulin in Saskatoon, SK, where he lived for 83 years. Leo attended Bedford Road Collegiate and U. of S. He then enlisted in the Navy. While stationed in St. John's Nfld, Leo met and married his wife, Mary. After the war, Leo brought Mary back to Saskatoon and together they raised their family.
Leo's passions in life were learning (taking over 100 University classes), dancing (he would dance every dance), his family and his pets. He loved being out in the country, having wiener roasts or sitting drinking tea and reading in the back yard with a fire in the pit.
Leo moved to Cochrane, AB in 2001 to be closer to his daughter.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Linda/Darryl Bint; son, Paul/Rena Gaulin; grandchildren, Cody Bint, Cory/Janet Zoller, Lauri Rose/ Waldner, Kirk Rose, Amelia Gaulin; great-grandchildren, Nigel and Davis Zoller, Coral and Travis Waldner; nieces and nephews.
Dad was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 1993; sister, Lorraine Slind; daughter, Gloria Rose; and grandson, Dean Zoller.
The family would like to thank the Bethany Care Centre for their kindness to Leo. There will be a service in the Chapel at Bethany Care and also in Saskatoon at a later date.
