KYNOCH, Helen Elizabeth (nee Leach) December 9, 1923 - May 27, 2021
It is with great sorrow we say farewell to our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Helen (Bea) Elizabeth Kynoch who passed away at the age of 97 at St. Paul's Hospital on May 27, 2021.
Bea is survived by her sons, Don (Belinda) and Bill (Beverly); grandchildren, Brad (Anne-Sophie), Bryan (Miranda), Parker, and Andrea (Ray); step-grandchildren, Danielle (Jack) and Amanda (Jo); nieces, Diane (Kelly) and Leslie (Will); and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Jessie Leach; step mother, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Leach; husband, Ken; brother, George; and sister, Florence.
Bea was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan on December 9, 1923. She was raised and educated in Saskatoon from an early age, graduated from Bedford Road Collegiate, and completed a Business Course at the Saskatoon Technical College. She worked for an insurance company and then obtained employment with the Veterans Land Act after the end of WWII. She married Ken in 1952 and commenced her family later that same year.
Bea and Ken lived in Saskatoon most of their lives, enjoyed 25 yrs of annual winter vacations in Hawaii, and spent summers at their cabin at Emma Lake. She enjoyed baking, watching curling, playing card games, singing old hymns, enjoyed a good sense of humor, and liked socializing with close friends.
The family thanks the staff at Preston Park 1 for caring for Bea for the 8 months before her passing. The family will hold their respective private services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted toSASKATOON FUNERAL HOME (306-244-5577).
