KOROL, Andrew (Andy) September 2, 1930 - March 31, 2021
On Wednesday, March 31, 2021 Andy passed away peacefully at the age of 90.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Perry (Lansea), Debbie (Andre), his brother Dr. Paul Korol, his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Ksenia Korol (Dudczak), brother Michael, sisters Lily Rebeyka and Mary Crane, wife Anne Korol (Gulka), and wife Gisele Korol (Wismer).
Andy was born at Lizard Lake, near Cando Saskatchewan, one of five children. He moved to the farm in the Smithville area, west of Saskatoon, in 1944. He attended Bedford Road Collegiate & Technical Collegiate. In 1952 Andy married Ann and shortly after they operated a business together (Korol Carpets Ltd.) until her death in 1981. Mutual friends introduced Andy to Gisele and in 1987 they were married.
Andy enjoyed farming the family homestead, fishing trips, dancing at polka festivals and Ukrainian dances. He was a proud member of the Saskatoon Shrine Motor Patrol and a member of the Masonic Order.
Andy's family is especially grateful for the care received from St. Paul's Hospital Palliative Care Unit Staff, all the staff at Preston Park II, and the Sask. Health Home Care Nurses and Care Aides. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andy's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan.
