The best husband and father Dale William Gill passed away surrounded by his family in Saskatoon on May 15, 2019 at the age of 66.
Dale is survived by his wife Isabelle Gill; children, Curtis (Tricia), Shawn, Mark, Russell (Jaqui) Dean (Dawn) and Darren. He was preceded in death by his parents Percy Gill and Kay Gill.
Dale was born on May 3, 1953 in Saskatoon to Percy and Kay Gill. He was their only child. Dale graduated from Bedford Road high school in 1971 and went on to work for the City of Saskatoon until he retired in 2004. Dale had two sons (Dean and Darren) prior to meeting Isabelle, the love of his life in 1978. Dale and Belle married on February 16, 1980 before welcoming their first child Curtis later that year. Over the next couple years their family expanded with Shawn, Mark, and Russell.
Dale was a natural handy man. His remarkable ability to help with anything from building decks to renovating houses. Dale also loved sports; he played in his younger years and then went on to coach his sons throughout minor hockey and baseball. Dale's passion for travelling with his wife Belle often took them to Mexico. Above all Dale fiercely loved his family and nothing brought more sunshine into his life then his grandchildren; Azur, Eli, Vanya, Zephyr, Emerson, Hudson, Blake, Brooklynn and Lexi. Dale was an amazing friend, father and grandfather and loving husband and he will forever be missed but will always be in the hearts of those who knew him and the ones that loved him.
The Celebration of Dale's life will be held at Mayfair United Church, (902 33rd Street West, Saskatoon) on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a Cancer foundation of your choice.
