BERINI, Shirley Lavonne (Headley) March 29, 1928 – August 29, 2016
It is with our heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our dear and beloved mother, Shirley Berini on August 29, 2016, at age 88.
She was predeceased by her mother, Gertrude; father, Fern Headley; husband, Leo; and grandson, Aaron Beaudry. She is survived by her children, Darryl (Valerie) Berini, Brenda Beaudry, Karen (Randy) Johnstone and Debbie (Frank) Kaszas; grandchildren, Shannon Beaudry, Ashley, Christa and Brianne Berini, Lance and Brittany Johnstone, and Ashlee and Austin Kaszas; great-grandchildren, Shaylee and Autumn Beaudry, and Dayton and Brooklyn Johnstone; and two great-great-grandchildren, Sydney and Jordan Beaudry.
Mom graduated from Bedford Road Collegiate and worked 23 years at Eatons in various departments. She worked and raised four children, which was a feat in itself. She had many great friendships, loved to have fun and she was the hostess with the mostest, as she loved to entertain friends and family. In her retirement years, Mom's solitude and joy was her cabin at Emma Lake, where she spent countless summers enjoying the companionship of her family.
A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at Saskatoon Funeral Home; 338-4th Avenue N on Saturday September 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's Society. Shirley's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of 3rd floor Bluebird lane at Sherbrooke Community Centre for the care and kindness they gave her.
