FROST, Irene Elizabeth January 9, 1935 – July 21, 2015
The family of Irene Elizabeth Frost (nee Hogge) are saddened to announce her passing on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the age of 80.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Cathy (Ron) Heihs; grandchildren Landon and Kaleena (Steve Norris); son David (Kara) Frost; grandchildren Michael, Kadie and Alana; brother Gordon Hogge; brother-in- law Jerry (Eileen) Frost and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Ray Frost; parents Thomas and Elizabeth Hogge; brother Tommy Hogge and sisters Eleanor Reid and Marilyn Brunet.
Irene was born in Saskatoon in the family home on Avenue G South. She attended King George School, Pleasant Hill and Bedford Road Collegiate. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, reading and writing poetry and letters. Irene was a devoted wife and mother, always spending time with her family. Her working career started at the Canadian Red Cross, then at McLeod's Department Store and then for many years as Clerk on Ward 6000 at the Royal University Hospital, retiring in 1998.
The family would like to express our thanks to the staff at Stensrud Lodge for mom's care over the last few years. A Memorial Service will be held at Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive) on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery following the Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House (1011 University Dr, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0K4).
