Sidney Knihnitski passed away peacefully on April 11, 2013 and his spirit now embarks upon a new journey.
Sid is lovingly remembered by his wife Paula of 19 years and son Baron (Siglinde), parents Sylvia and John, bothers Norbert and Myron (Kelly), brother-in-law Adrian, niece Candice, nephews Hermann and Jason and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Elaine.
Sid was born in Saskatoon on September 19, 1958. He attended Bedford Road Collegiate and was employed by Intercontinental Packers for 16 years. He was proud to be a member of the Draggins Rod and Custom Car Club for the last 20 years and volunteered at many events and continued to support the club throughout his lifetime. One of his favorite places was Manitou Beach where Sid spent many happy years at the cottage.
Family and friends will cherish memories from time spent with Sid celebrating everything from birthdays and anniversaries to painting fences, chopping wood and shingling roofs. Although Sid lived with MS for the majority of his life, he never let that get in the way of a shared joke or his teasing personality or living every day to its fullest. Sid's loving disposition will be missed by all who knew him. Sid, we know you will continue to spread love and joy.
Funeral service will be held on April 20, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H9. Lunch and interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
