Anne Agarand (nee Salyn); beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away March 10th, 2013 in Saskatoon, Sk.
Anne was born in Alticane on April 9th. She attended elementary school at Canada School in Alticane and high school at Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon. She went on to teachers college in Saskatoon. Anne met her husband Emile when she was teaching school in Sonningdale. They were married in Vancouver on January 2nd, 1948. They lived in Vancouver for 3 years and returned to Sonningdale where they farmed and ran the post office for 35 years. They moved to the Legion Manor in Saskatoon in October, 2009.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 65 years, Emile Agarand and her children; Heather (Gary Chambers), Carrie (Don Elliott), Barry (Leah Patrick) and her daughter-in-law Audrey Agarand and by her grandchildren; Courtney Walker (Andrew Strople), Bree Elliott (Jesse Sadlowski), Brooke Walker (Chris Sielecki), Brody Elliott (Nichole Elliott), Julian Agarand, Jenna Agarand, step-grandson Scott Patrick and great-grandchildren Maren Strople, Memphis and Amelia Sadlowski and Sloane Elliott. Anne was predeceased by her parents Fred and Mary Salyn, brothers Bill and John Salyn and sisters Nellie Buziak and Polly Buziak.
Visitation will be held at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Avenue North) on Friday, March 15th from 3-5 PM. Funeral Services will be held for Anne at the Sonningdale Hall, Sonningdale, SK on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 at 2 PM. Email condolences can be sent to mail@saskatoonfuneralhome.com.
