HARASYMUK, Carol (nee Puskarenko) July 8, 1930 - July 18, 2004
Peacefully, and surrounded by the love of her family, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Carol Harasymuk.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Steve; three children, Michael (Sandra) Harasymuk and their daughter, Janelle; Brian (Bonnie) Harasymuk and their children, Stacy and Mark; and Carla (Jack) Nickel and their daughters, Madeline and Emma; her sisters, Mary Senick and Ann Klein; brother-in-law, Frank MacKinnon; sister-in-law, Elsie Parkes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Louise; her brother, Alexander Parkes; and her sister, Ethel MacKinnon.
Carol was born in the Meacham District and received her education from Bedford Road and the Technical Collegiate. Carol married Steve in 1953 and together they raised their family. Carol was a woman of strong faith and spirituality and will be remembered in many special ways. She was especially devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. Throughout the years, Carol was involved in many church organizations, including Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate. Carol will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Prayers will be held on July 20, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. and the Funeral Liturgy on July 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 10th Street East and Munroe Avenue, with Fr. Frank Szadiak, C.Ss.R. officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Greg Lalach of Park Funeral Chapel. Interment to take place at Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery.
