CASEY, W. Ronald 1950 - 2012
It is with great sadness that the Casey family announce the sudden passing of Ron at the age of 61 years on January 13, 2012 in Kenora, Ontario.

Left to mourn his passing are his three sons, Sean (Randi-Ann), Ian (Ruthanne), Kurtis (Nicole); as well as his three grandchildren, Samuel, Birk, and Emmett Casey. He is also survived by his mother Nan Casey, his sister Frances Friesen (Brian), his brothers Robin Casey (Robin), Dean Casey (Jacquie), Mark Casey (Jacky) and Brian Casey (Doris); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his ex-wife and dear friend Linda Mitchell.

Ron grew up in Saskatoon and attended Mayfair School and Bedford Road Collegiate. He had a great passion for the outdoors from his days in Boy Scouts and the many summers spent at the Anglin Lake Scout camp as a youth. Ron was an excellent hockey player and continued to play the game well into adulthood. He moved to Kenora, Ontario at the age of 18 to play junior hockey. He was an O.P.P. officer for over 30 years, before his retirement in 2004. Ron always remained a prairie boy at heart and returned to Saskatchewan as often as he could. He always loved our family get togethers. We will miss him terribly, his laughter and his gentle soul.

Ron's memorial service took place on January 19th in Kenora. If our tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, we'd walk right up to heaven, and bring you home again.
