He was predeceased by his parents, John and Beatrice Fieldhouse.
John was born on January 27th, 1946 in Calgary AB. His father was a radio operator with Air Canada and the family eventually moved to Saskatoon. John attended Bedford Road High School and after graduating he attended one year at the University of Saskatchewan before joining the work force with Compass Foods. His work took him to various camps throughout Manitoba, and Northern Saskatchewan including Cluff Lake. John worked in those camps until 2001 when he moved into the company's head office located in the Centennial Auditorium. He worked there until 2010 when he retired.
John was hard working and liked things done the right way. He demanded perfection from all who worked with him. In his leisure time, John enjoyed golfing. He was an avid golfer and could frequently be found on the course at Holiday Park. When he wasn't playing golf, he could be found watching it on the Golf Channel. He also enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas. John was fiercely independent his entire life. He was a very kind and gentle man who will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Cremation. A graveside service for John will take place later this year at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of David Schurr MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES (978-5200).
