It is with very heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Geraldine (Gerry) Katherine Tullis (nee Roper). Gerry peacefully passed away in her sleep on March 4th, 2011.

She was born April 28th, 1929 in Saskatoon. Attended Bedford Road Collegiate and was a member of the Adilman Aces basket ball team. She had a very fulfilling career for many years as a Library Technician with SIAST. After retiring, she went on volunteering numerous hours with Saskatoon Police Victim Services, St. Paul's Hospital and the Western Development Museum. She was a member of The Rebekah Lodge and St. Martin's Church. Gerry was a loving, caring person who continually gave to others, always taking care of family and friends before herself. She was a caregiver and "mom" to many.

Gerry will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Brenda Friesen; son Douglas Tullis; special friend Abby Lowe; grandchildren Shawna (Kerry) Martin, Brett (Chelsey) Friesen, Brenda and Brittany Tullis. great-grandchildren Alicia Goodine, Lexi and Braxton Martin and Sky Friesen. brother Ken (Ernestine) Roper, sisters Dorothy Cowan, Inez McKenzie and Margaret Waite. In-laws Dottie Roper and Marion Roper; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and all those whose lives she touched.

She was predeceased by her parents Margaret and William Roper, son: Gregory Tullis, brothers: Jack, Roy and Dale Roper, sister: Betty Davidson. In-laws: Jack Cowan, Stan McKenzie, Bill Waite and Clara Roper.

The family would like to thank MD Ambulance, Saskatoon Police Service, Sgt Emery and Janine Arnold for all their compassion and support. A Service honoring Gerry will be held on Monday, March 21st, 2011 at 1:00 pm at St. Martin's United Church, 2617 Clarence Avenue South, Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry's memory may be made to St. Martin's United Church or a charity of your choice. Arrangements in care of MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (934-4888).
