PHILLIPS, MARJORIE MAY 1924 - 2009
Marjorie May Phillips passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert on September 21st, 2009 at the age of 85 years.
Born in Montrose, Scotland on May 9th, 1924 she was brought to Saskatoon by her mother at a very young age. Growing up on the Westside she attended Westmount School and Bedford Road Collegiate. Not long after she met and married her beloved husband of 61 years, Bill. Together they spent their lives in the neighborhood of Mayfair, raising a family and forging many long lasting friendships.
Marge was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend and along with her brother, Don McCaig were very proud of their Scotish heritage. Her pleasant demeanor and sense of humor were loved by all who knew her.
She will be sadly missed and remembered by her sons, David (Hilary) of Prince Albert, Daniel (Diann) of Saskatoon; grandchildren, Kate Cheveldeoff (Jeff), Amie Phillips (Brandon), Jason Phillips (mother Joanne) and great-grandchild, Haylee Cheveldeoff. Marge was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 2007; her parents, Duncan and Maude; and her brother, Don.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA in memory of Marge and her great love of all animals (5028 Clarence Ave. S. Grasswood SK S7K 1A7). A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of the Saskatoon Funeral Home ( 4th Ave. and 25th St) on Thursday, September 24th at 1:00 p.m. with interment following at Woodlawn Cemetery.
