PENROD, MARION (nee Brown) January 4, 1925 - July 12, 2008
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother and Grandmother, Marion Penrod on the morning of July 12, 2008.

Marion was born on January 4, 1925 to James and Jean Brown. She attended Mayfair Public School and Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon. Afterwards, she moved to Regina to work for Imperial where she met the love of her life, Russell Penrod. The two were married on May 20, 1944. A year later, their first, James was born followed by a second son, Lanny. The couple moved to Saskatoon and had two more children, Judy and David. Marion worked at City Hospital for 25 years until her retirement.

Marion was predeceased by her parents, James and Jean; her brother, John and sister, Jeanie; her husband, Russell; grandsons, Kevin and Alwin, as well as numerous in-laws. She is survived by her children, Jim (Myra), Lanny (Jane), Judy (Doug) Bowkowy and David (Connie). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Brooks (Alison) and Tyler (Shantal) and their mother, Judy Penrod, Ryan Bowkowy (Jazmin), Lindsey Townsend (Peter), Kate (Glen) Hetherington, David (Jenine) Angell, Zoe (Ryan) Cunningham, Chris and Bailey, Robert Angell and 13 great-grandchildren.

Grandma: We will miss you more than you will ever know....your Christmas sleepovers, your visits and your sarcastic jokes and our lunches together at Tim Hortons. Finally, we will throw away that hearing aid you hated so much because we know that from where you are now you can hear us just fine.

Service of Remembrance will be held July 16, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Saskatoon Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
