The family of Amelia Hnatuk is saddened to announce the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at the age of 75.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Carol (Ronald) Hinz; Jeanette (Keith) Thomson; Linda (Michael) Schafer; Donna McDonald; Robert (Rose); Valerie; Patricia (Brian Krushelinski); and by grandchildren, Adrienne (Michael) Scissons; David Thomson; Rachel and Sarah McDonald; Norman and Rozlynn Hnatuk; Jill Hnatuk; sister-in-law, Kay Shore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Amelia was predeceased by her husband, Norman in 1980. She is also predeceased by her parents, Victoria and Michael Skorochid; her brother, Frank Shore; and her sister and brother-in-law, Anne and John Beutel.
Amelia was born on December 29, 1932 in Hafford, SK. She grew up in Saskatoon and attended school at King George, Bedford Road and Saskatoon Business College. Mom was a lifelong volunteer for various charities within her community. Amelia enjoyed many winters in Arizona and leaves many adventures that will be fondly remembered. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Vigil of Prayer will be held on Friday July 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John Bosco Parish. The Funeral Service will be Saturday July 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Bosco Parish, 1202 Avenue O South. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
