KAMINSKI, Gladys Bernice
Bea (nee Horovenko) was born on October 7, 1936 in Saskatoon, SK and passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2005 in Regina, SK.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Pauline Horovenko; motherand father-in-law, Michael and Wasylyna Kaminski; brother-in-law, Walter Horodyski; and niece, Judy Horodyski.

Gladys is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wally Kaminski; children: Michael (Deanna), Wally Jr. (Linda), Joanne Borowiec (Dave), Cathy Spilman (Nigel) and Paul (Brenda); grandchildren: Tricia Kaminski (Dave), Tracie Bugera (Scott), Jason Borowiec (Megan), Scott Borowiec, Toni Kaminski, Jaimee Pawlowski, Nikki Pawlowski and Eric Pawlowski; stepgrandchildren, Michelle Amor (Jon), Nikki Amor (Ralph) and Melanie Spilman; step great grandchildren, Adam Grandel, Benjamin Grandel, Matthew Cole and Emily Cole; sisters, Jean (Ken) Rissling and Marg Horodyski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bea attended Princess Westmount and Bedford Road Schools. She married Wally Kaminski on November 21, 1953. She worked full time at OK Economy until Michael was born and then became a full time homemaker. She had various part time jobs in Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg but taking care of her family was her #1 job. She did this job very well! She was an enthusiastic fan of both her children's and grandchildren's sports activities. She enjoyed walking and participated on the 55+ Senior Games the past 15 years and won many medals. The backyard garden and flowers were her pride and joy. Another favorite past time was shopping at Wal-Mart: not missing any Wal-Marts en route between Regina and Texas and California for their holidays. She enjoyed cooking for the family and would use any excuse to have the whole family over for dinner. She also volunteered for many worthy causes and sporting events. Her greatest worry the past few months, when she learned the end was near, was Who is going to look after my family when I am gone?

A Memorial Service will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bea's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, the Regina Humane Society, the Arthritis Society or to the charity of one's choice.
